Screw Job

Lets break it down today, at first I wasn't that mad but looking at it more and more Michigan got screwed and should be playing in the national championship game.

Look at these points

1)If Michigan-Ohio St was played on Dec 2nd and the same result would have occurred...Michigan would have been voted number 2 in the polls and Michigan would be in Glendale

2)How can someone say clearly in their mind that Florida is better then Michigan

Michigan did not have a close game all yr...sure they beat Ball St. by 8 and Northwestern 17-3 but they were bored in those games...its pretty obvious. While Florida on the other hand should have lost to...South Carolina, Georgia, and prolly Tennessee.

3)I understand the SEC is a tough conference but have a stronger non-conference competition then 3 cupcakes (Southern Miss, Central Florida and Western Carolina) Florida St is decent but they are bad this year...Michigan played a decent SEC team (Vanderbilt) who only lost to Florida by 11 and who lost to Michigan 27-3, Central Michigan which one the MAC and Ball St. (which was the newly add NCAA 12th game this yr)

I really believe that the facts are there and Michigan got screwed...hopefully Michigan smokes USC in the Rose Bowl and the National Championship is like a 0-0 tie (I know that can't happen) but since I hate both teams I wish it could happen

Millen Fired?

Basically it Comes down to this...The rumor has it Millen is done sometime soon...hopefully sooner than later but I'm happy hopefully one day soon the lions will rise again...I'm holding out slight hope.

I think Michigan is gonna go to Rose Bowl...here is what they should do...USC VS Michigan in Rose Bowl and winner plays national champ game but that is a playoff and we know that is not going to happen for a while.

The Pistons are looking good (9-5 have won 6 str) Ben Wallace is having problems with the bulls and i love it. I'm so glad they didn't resign him

The Red Wings are also ok this yr not as good as in years past but the strike 2 years ago is hurting ticket sales big time...Hockey is only really worth watching in the playoffs

ND VS USC: I like ND to win outright(+7)...the luck of the Irish that is it 31-27 ND

FLA Vs FSU: FSU (+9.5)...FLA will win this one but FSU keeps it close...21-20 FLA

Turkey Day Tradtion

Well another Turkey Day....Another Lions lost

this time to Joey Blueskys and the Dolphins...Millen needs to go and that is all I have to say about the lions

2-9 they are worse then they where last year at this time and the next thing Mooch was let go so we will see what happens with Millen


I'm Gonna to try to keep the faith and root for them but they are just hard to watch anymore. I guess you can say I have given up

A few random thought:

-Thanks, Bo. you made the Michigan football program what it is today, even that I was a young pup when you left coaching, I still know the impact you made on my team.

-Joey comes in on Turkey Day: Its gonna be a circus and guess what the Lions are going to get smoked: 24-10 Dolphins, Joey throws for 300 and a couple of touchdowns

-LT is the fantasyfootball machine, I do not think we will ever see anything like he is doing this year for a long time.

-Should there be a rematch between MICH-OSU, I believe yes it is the two best teams and it would be a another great game but if USC wins out I think they will get it and Michigan will play a rematch...against the Irish

My prediction

In a very close game back and forth for the whole affair...I like Michigan 24-21

Back from the game tonight and let me tell u it was awesome

I was in sec 122 row 25 seat 6. Let me tell beside working at the superbowl and getting lucky enough to go to the rose bowl in 1997 the greatest sporting event I have ever been too.

I have no voice left when the fans started chanting kenny-kenny-kenny it gave me goose bumps I was prolly out of my seat more then I was in it

my favorite part was the Curtis Grandersn hit the home run and it was when I finally thought they had the game won, the place went crazy I think I gave high fives to everyone with in 20 feet of me. Also, after the game they played the 68 theme song "go get em tigers" and everyone that knew that around me was singing it quite a great day, so I more win and they will beat the yanks and move onto the ALCS. A some words from a song to end the thought

Its official the Detroit Tigers for the first time since 1987 are in the playoffs.
I'm so happy and excited it is not even funny. OCT. is going be awesome.

I have also given up on the lions, I will still root for them but I now see that they suck and have a long way to go before they are good.

Football is back and I'm in a better place

I'm scared the tigers are going to choke. I hope they do not but it looks like they might every time they do something to make me less scared the lose two or three in a row, its going to right down to the wire and I'm hoping they can do it

The Tiger Magic number is 30 when that number gets to zero the Tigers will have won the AL Central. Plan and simple I love it, I'm hoping so much the can do it and we can play baseball in Oct, in the motor city.

Now the Lions,

I have liked what I have seen on of team during the first two preseason games. I think this year they will have a chance at being in most if not all of the games I just think they are one year away from being really good. They D looks good and Bullocks looks to be a good player for them for a long time. The one thing that I have about this team is what are they going to do with Mike Williams and Charles Rogers. I have not seem them play very much during the preseason and I think that one if not both of them are in danger of getting cut, they are just two big busts.

Tigers Magic

It is true after this weekend I'm now 100% sure the Tigers will make the Playoffs. The Magic that they had this weekend was something special. After Friday night and Craig bottom of the 8th go ahead homerun was on of the best moments of the season. The Fans went crazy as the tigers took the lead and went on to win the game after being down 5-0 in the early part of the game. Then came the next day



and this one was even better. Pudge homerun is going to go down as on of the best moments of a great season. There is some magic going on for the Tigers this year and everyone is staring to believe in them. The Tigers are awesome and I love it. This Team is going to make the playoffs and play hard. I really believe that they can do something in the playoffs to. Get ready Detroit because August, September and October is going to be awesome for the Detroit Tigers and their fans.

A New Hope

Today is the Start of the Detroit Lions 2006 Football Journey

and in the Detroit Free Press Today we had this quote

"Marinelli tells the players they need to get comfortable with being uncomfortable. That's especially true of the players who were in Detroit under Steve Mariucci, who ran a much more friendly camp.

Mariucci didn't have water breaks. He called them "Easter egg hunts." The trainers would toss bottles of Gatorade on the grass, and the players would take a break and find their favorite color/flavor.

Marinelli is no Easter Bunny. One player said he had to scrounge water when he could during the last minicamp"

Which leads me to say this:

The Detroit Lions will be better this year under Rod Marinelli, they will have a chance and they won't give up. I'm giving the Lions the same expectations I gave the Tigers at the start of the year which was about 500 and that's where I think the Lions will end up this year. I hope that they can win a very week NFC North but I don't know if they can, I only know that this year Lions will not give up in any game because Marinelli will not allow that. This team will play hard and be very hard to beat, I just do not know if they have a good enough o-line and quaterbacks to go places. That is why I'm saying the Lions will finish around 500 but I'm hoping for better.

Big Set

The Tigers are 62-30 and the White Sox are 57-34 (tigers have a 4.5 game lead), the 2 teams play each other this week and I think its the biggest 3 game set for the tigers in a LONG LONG TIME.

The Tigers have not even come close to making the playoffs since 1987 (over 500 once in 1993). The Tigers fans haven't seen this in a while and this week the tigers have a chance to prove to everyone that they are for real. People are starting to buy into the team but with a good series against the Sox's they will be looking good.

This series to me will be key in decided the central division, if the tigers can win 2 out of 3 I think the will win the division. This series will show the rest of baseball that the tigers are ready to try to win the World Series.

To other Tigers issues are they going to make a trade?

I don't know if they will or not, I'm leaning to no but if there is someone out there that would help and it wouldn't hurt the team then I have no problem with the tigers doing it. I believe the Tigers going places and I think the next 2+ mouths are going to be special in Detroit and at Comerica Park.

All Star Break

Well Its the all star break and the Detroit Tigers are on top of the AL Central at 59-29. We all know that the tigers haven't done anything in a long time. The last time the Tigers made the playoffs I was just born. I'm truly excited for the first time ever about the Tigers for the rest of the season, I think they will make the playoffs and have a great chance of winning the ALCS. If Metro-Detroit sees oct baseball its going to be great, we love are sports and with the Tigers trying to win the division in Sept. I'm pretty sure that Comerica Park will be full almost every night for the rest of the season.

Also,

World Cup ended yesterday and VIVA ITALIA! What was Zidane thinking with the headbutt, it may have cost the French the World Cup

Shanny, leaving the Wings marks the start of the end for the Red Wings, I believe w/o the captain and Shanny and with Ed Belfour between the pipes the team will not be what we have been custom to seeing in Hockey Town

Big Ben

This is my thought about him leaving for chi-town

Well u know what I thought it was gone happen. After all this city and town has done for him making him an all-star and a top level NBA player he bolts on us. But I could see it coming in the playoffs he wasn't the Ben Wallace we knew and loved. I told everyone I thought he was gone to go to Chicago and I was right. And u know what I don't care.

Ben Wallace missing all the free throws in the playoffs killed the pistons i really beleve that missing all thoese free throws took the engery from Ben and the whole team went down as he did. This team next year will rally around Ben being gone. Do i think they will beat Chicago, Miami, or Cleveland. That I'm not sure of but I'm sure not going to miss Ben Wallace that much. I think Dyce will do fine starting next year and with the signing of Nazr today and maybe Bonzi Wells or a good back up Pt Guard this team will go on and try to win again and they won't quit like this year.

I used to have one of these and i got rid of it but now im back because i like having a place to share some stuff about sports, life and other things

Juily is now here and the Tigers are playing pretty good (56-28) and i love it. This is the first time that i can remenber in my life that i actaully want to watch and go to alot of tigers game. It's great and I'm hopeing we can see a run deep into Oct.

I'm not even gonna go to Ben Wallace right now, ill talk about that later. But as someone told me Stevie Y is and will always be the man, the way he went out and everything he did in his carrer was total class and he is one of my heros and always will be.

June has brought us the World Cup and like ESPN has told us "One Game Changes Everything"

and this year the world cup has been great. Many close awsome games and lots of sick goals. When Italy Scored in the 119th miunate. I went crazy, It was awsome.

I'm gonna try to keep up with this blog thing as much as i can, when ever I fell I need to say something I'm gonna try to put it here
